Citi Trends is looking for a dedicated Merchandise Assistant to join our team at one of the largest chains in the value-priced urban apparel industry. We’re growing, so if you’ve ever wanted a chance to lead the way, this is it.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Perform tasks in Word and Excel
• Provide general clerical/administrative support
• Assist with special projects to include researching information
• Prepare daily status and other management reports as required
• Responsible for tracking and maintaining all logs/reports
• Handle and respond to standard information requests
• Answering telephones, bookkeeping, typing or word processing, stenography, office machine operation, and filing
• Operate office machines, such as photocopiers and scanners, facsimile machines, voice mail systems, and personal computers.
• Maintain and update filing, inventory, mailing, and database systems, either manually or using a computer.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school degree, GED, Minimum of 1 year administrative or secretarial experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and understand documents such as general correspondence, reports and policies and procedures. Ability to communicate effectively with vendors, applicants and employees in the company.
